Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This movie tackles some interesting questions in a bold way, but it also goes to some truly dark and disturbing places. There are parts of this movie that are thought-provoking and insightful, yet other parts are frustrating and nonsensical. The main characters seem to fluctuate between brilliant complexity and sheer stupidity; it’s tough to describe. Despite these oddities, I give credit to lead actor Matt Levett for a strong, emotional performance and to the writers and producers for telling an intense and unapologetic tale of violence and tragedy that lies at the intersection of masculinity and obsession.
