What’s It About?
Moonlight is a coming of age tale that explores three different chapters of a young man’s life growing up in a tough Miami neighborhood and struggling with self acceptance, violent bullying and his mother’s drug addiction.

Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This is a pretty good movie. It’s somewhat understated and introspective, but it’s also quite powerful. The story is told in three different chronological segments, with the main character being played by a different actor at each age range. All three chapters are well written and well acted. The final segment has the least amount of action yet it is definitely the most intense. The movie’s quieter moments are where this story (and the acting) shines brightest.

Final Grade: B+
