Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
The premise of this film is really interesting, but the execution leaves something to be desired. The script explores some intriguing concepts in clever and inventive ways, but the dialogue it utilizes is often juvenile or loaded with clunky exposition. (There’s a lot of “telling” that goes along with the “showing” here.) Many of the young actors give solid performances, and I think I would have enjoyed this movie more if it had focused solely on the students and omitted the creepy teacher and his weird obsession with the star pupil. That subplot was distracting and unnecessary.
