What’s It About?
Fifty strangers find themselves imprisoned in a circular room and are forced to choose which one of them will die every two minutes.
Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This movie has a crazy premise that hooks you from the beginning. When that buzzer goes off and the first body falls, you’re immediately paying attention. The story is simple, but the character revelations are complex, earnest, illuminating, and thought-provoking — a little window into human nature, deeply flawed and self-serving. Unfortunately, I think some of the dialogue here is really basic and several of the lesser-known actors seem to be reading lines in a stage play instead of pleading for their lives. Those sorts of hiccups take me out of the moment and kill the suspense. Solid ending though.
