What’s It About?
A skeptical reporter investigates a mysterious videotape that reportedly kills anyone who watches it within seven days.

Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This movie does “creepy” very well. The cursed videotape is truly eerie, even watching it fifteen years later with the lights on; and the film delivers on its chilling premise with a story that is scary, twisty, and definitely entertaining. Naomi Watts gives a commendable performance, taking us with her on a harrowing journey from bemused skeptic to horrified believer to warrior mother as she slowly unravels the origins of the cursed videotape. The ending is… appropriate. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll just say that the film’s conclusion is satisfying, surprising, and true to the characters.

Final Grade: B-
