Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This is a really good series. It’s a terrific blend of classic noir spy mystery and traditional opposite’s attract romance updated with modern themes and current technology, wrapped up in a paranoid government conspiracy thriller. The script is smart, the story is incredibly addicting, and the acting is top shelf, particularly leads Ben Whishaw and Edward Holcroft and supporting scene-stealers Charlotte Rampling and Jim Broadbent. It’s only five episodes, but each one is strong and packed with tension. The central mystery is ultimately solved although some of the final revelations are heartbreaking, but it all ends on an inspiring note.
