Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
I liked it. The premise is intriguing and I enjoyed the movie’s physical portrayal of the battle between free will and predestination. The idea is smart, even if the execution is imperfect. The script gets a little choppy and has some sizeable plot holes. However, the heart of the movie is the love story, and this love story really shines. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt have great on-screen chemistry here and both of their characters are very relatable and likeable. The human side of the story eventually supersedes the sci-fi aspects, and it’s kind of beautiful. Love wins, baby.
