Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This is the first and the best film in The Hunger Games series. Strong story, excellent characters, awesome hero, gripping setting, cool visuals… a lot of good stuff here. The story itself is captivating, and Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were both perfectly cast to bring this material to life. I enjoyed Suzanne Collin’s original novel very much and I think that the book provides a fuller and more emotional story, but the film is still very good and can definitely stand on its own. Also, I’m not ashamed to say it: I’m Team Peeta all the way.

Final Grade: A-
