What’s It About?

She is quickly recruited by a special operations squad to investigate the release of a deadly virus in an underground research facility beneath the mansion. And so it begins…

Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
I’m a fan of the Resident Evil movies, as imperfect as they may be, and I think the first movie is one of the best. Fifteen years later, it still holds up pretty well (with the exception of the CGI, perhaps). Yes, it’s a zombie movie adapted from a video game, but don’t let that fool you. The characters are strong and the story is well told. I think the script achieves a pretty good balance between solid character development and zombie killing mayhem. Milla Jovovich is completely kick-ass here, and Michelle Rodriguez and Colin Salmon also give noteworthy performances.

Final Grade: B
