Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This one is really cute. It’s got something for little kids and something for adults too. Beneath the funny talking animals, kid-friendly comedy and witty script is a meaningful story about prejudice, intolerance, determination, and self-acceptance. The metaphors are obvious, but they’re integrated in such a clever way that I never felt like I was being force fed or bashed over the head with the filmmaker’s message. Kudos to the writers for telling such a great story in such a creative and enjoyable manner: think of a much, much friendlier version of Animal Farm (the novel, not the movie).
