Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
I think this was a good movie, but I don’t like it as much as conventional movie critics say I should. This film seems to be frequently lauded as a classic, but I think it might be a little overrated. Humphrey Bogart won the Oscar for this, but in my opinion this film is not his best work. Nor is it Katharine Hepburn’s best work. They’re both still quite good here, and the script is solid (although maybe a little racist at the beginning) and the ending is terrific. I’m just not as thrilled with it overall as most folks.
