This is a hard movie to watch. It’s neither fun nor enjoyable, but it is well made and it sticks with you long after the end credits. Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller both give terrific performances, although it feels wrong to use the word “terrific” since the subject matter of this movie is extremely dark and sobering. Even more depressing is the realization that twenty years ago, the very premise of this movie would have been unimaginable. Nowadays, though…
