Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
I like it, but it is far from my favorite Hitchcock film. I know many people consider this movie to be a classic, but I think it is just “ok.” Grace Kelly and Carey Grant are both great, of course, and so is Jessie Royce Landis who plays Grace Kelly’s mother. The story itself, on the other hand, seems a little too silly for my tastes – especially for a Hitchcock film. I’m more into North by Northwest (also with Carey Grant) and Dial M for Murder or Rear Window (both with Grace Kelly). Thief is still worth watching, though.
