Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This movie is intense. It’s very well written and superbly acted. Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson are the only two characters onscreen for approximately 90% of the film and they do not let you look away. Their cat-and-mouse game is crazy and includes some twists that I definitely didn’t see coming. The mood and atmosphere are creepy and suspenseful the entire movie, which is a major accomplishment for a film that takes place primarily in a single location in broad daylight. And that ending… damn! The movie’s theme and underlying message might be controversial, but the movie’s quality is not.
Final Grade: B+
