Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
I liked it. This is a good thriller, strong from beginning to end. I think it’s the first film I’ve seen form the UAE and I was definitely impressed. The storyline is gripping and has some great twists. The acting is good, especially Ali Suliman who gives a powerful performance as the psychotic tormenter. The story takes place in a single location with a small cast of characters. All of the film’s individual elements (setting, performances, mood, score) contribute to a distinctly intense atmosphere that really hooks you. My one complaint would be that I didn’t particularly like the ending.
