Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
It’s cheesy, but it’s really fun. Yes, there are some clumsy moments in the script that are painfully obvious, and yes, the movie sometimes takes itself too seriously; but those missteps are easy to overlook when you’re distracted by all of the explosions, shooting, car chases, gunfights, burning buildings and planes falling from the sky. Jamie Fox and Channing Tatum are a good team here, creating a fun cross of buddy cops and The Odd Couple. The real hero of the movie is young Joey King, who carries a surprising amount of the film and ultimately saves the day.
