Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
Search Party’s first season is a clever, sarcastic and addictive dark comedy. On the surface, the show follows a misguided, modernized, Scooby-like group of misfits playing private detectives with hilarious results; but there is also a subtle undercurrent running through these episodes: a witty criticism of aging millennials forced to finally confront the real world – and themselves. The show works well on both levels. The ensemble cast is great, particularly Alia Shawkat. The scripts are funny; I laughed out loud many times. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it… although I admit to having reservations about the “twists” in the season finale.

Final Grade: B-
