What’s It About?
Two slacker brothers need to bring respectable dates to their sister’s destination wedding in Hawaii. They thought they found two well-adjusted “nice” girls, but they were wrong.
Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This is a movie that structurally relies on two pillars: the strength of the jokes and the likeability of the main cast. Fortunately, the movie scores well on both measures. Most of the gags and jokes work well; it isn’t a 100% hit rate, but it is still solid. The scenes that flop are easy to overlook or forgive because the cast is so likeable. Overall, I liked the movie and laughed out loud quite a bit. Worth noting: I noticed a lot of content from the trailer did not make it into the final cut. (That bothers me.)
