Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This is a well-acted, well-written ensemble piece where lots of individual, interconnected stories vie for screen time. Most of those stories are pretty good. A few of the subplots are less compelling than others (I’m looking at you Justin Long and Max Minghella), which makes the film drag a bit in a few places, but overall 10 Years is a solidly good movie. Oscar Isaac and Kate Mara’s story is the highlight for me, and Oscar’s song “Never Had” (which he wrote himself) is perfectly used.
