What’s It About?
Private Romeo reimagines Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet by telling the tale of forbidden love between two cadets at an isolated all-male military academy.

Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
This movie is definitely worth checking out. It’s clever, ambitious, and also touching. The film’s two leads (Matt Doyle and Seth Numrich) both do a great job here carrying the movie and grounding the story for us, making the tale feel natural and relatable even while using the original Shakespearean dialogue. The film takes a few liberties with the original plot, in particular changing one of the key moments at the end of the story, but those improvements are most welcome.
