Short Review: 100 Words or Less (no spoilers)
No. Just no. This movie is not necessary, and it is not good.  The 1982 version of Poltergeist still stands up remarkably well and we did not need (nor want) this lackluster, empty remake. This new film fails miserably by: 1) not adding anything new to the first movie, 2) not improving on any of the elements it copied from the original, and 3) wasting talent like Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt.  This is a horror movie that didn’t scare me, it just made me sad.
